Reaching out

Some of us are born with the gift of reaching out, stretching our hands to help people in need in any little way we can. Some of us try to, but it just doesn’t come easily. I feel the act of reaching out can be classified as something special. Heather havrilesky in her novel “How to be a person in the world” tells us that “There is magic that comes from reaching out. I don’t believe in many things, but I believe in that, with all of my heart.”

Have you witnessed someone with this good quality? What do you feel about them? I feel that they are very special and rare. Do you know what it’s like to reach out and help people, care so much about seeing smiles on people’s faces? If you really understand the meaning of these precious things read further.

I used to feel that in everything one plans to do in one’s life, one should always think about reaching out to people and inspiring them. Anywhere you find yourself, I believe in the act of making an impact to the people around you. Little meaningful things count the most because when things that do not matter so much are gone, it’s these little things that keep us going and make a difference. Heather also tells us in this same book of hers that “It is possible to admit that life is a struggle and also embrace the fact that small things—like sons who call you and beloved dogs in framed pictures and birds that tell you to drink your tea—matter. They matter a lot.”

It’s just like when we die, do our wealth matter anymore? No! Of course, they don’t. It’s our deeds that keep us from the torments of the grave.

Are you the one that’s always being selfish in your family or even among your friends? You never try to do something for the benefit of your family members or friends except yourself? Please, let’s try to change for the better. You would feel fulfilled when you put a smile on someone’s face, trust me. Just try it once.

When you see people reaching out to you and helping you with matters that are burdening, don’t you feel happy and even thank them for their help? This life is not ours, we wouldn’t live here forever, try leaving your foot prints on the sands of time and know that you meant something in someone’s life.
